Jenifer Vanek is director of the IDEAL Consortium at the EdTech Center at World Education and the educational coordinator for the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment with the Minnesota Literacy Council. She been working in the field of adult literacy for more than 20 years and currently trains nationally on incorporating digital literacy into instruction. Her recent work centers on creating online content for Adult Basic Education (ABE) learners and supporting the professional development of ESL and ABE teachers in the areas of digital literacy, distance learning, and adult career pathways. In addition to her MA in Teaching English as a Second Language, she earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction/Second Language Education at the University of Minnesota.
