Overview

We welcome both new and experienced volunteer coordinators—and others in adult education programs who work with volunteers— to join this facilitated sharing and learning group meeting. In this session, we will focus on the best practices and resources for returning to in-person classes and hybrid programming as we continue to manage virtual volunteering in an increasingly in-person world.

    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • New and experienced volunteer coordinators and others in adult education programs who work with volunteers
Description

We will begin our discussion with a new academic year check-in and an overview of the SABES Program Support PD Center’s plans for volunteer-focused PD in the year ahead. Next, we will focus on volunteer issues and opportunities for in-person, hybrid, and remote class models.

We will also discuss strategies and issues related to continuing to manage virtual volunteering as in-person options become more readily available. These will include:

  • What formats your program is using
  • What is going well
  • Challenges you are experiencing
  • Resources you have found helpful
  • Additional resources you are seeking

Throughout the meeting, you will have time for small group discussions.

How to join: This session is being offered via Zoom. Ruzica Banovic (ruzica_banovic@worlded.org) will confirm your registration and send you the link to join the session several days prior to the event.
