Description

Digital resilience is the ability to adapt to new technologies and problem solve in technology-rich environments and it plays an essential role in English learners' success across all contexts of adult life - civic participation, healthcare, education, work, parenting, etc.

This session focuses on the key elements that build that resilience: confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving alongside digital skills and digital literacy development. Participants will explore these elements and examine how they interact with English language instruction. Resources include the Digital Skills Glossary and Instructional Guide as well as Digital Resilience in the American Workforce (DRAW) instructional materials.

Following this session are two PD offerings focused on strategies for integrating digital literacy and resilience into specific language skills instruction.

If you are interested in this topic, but are unable to attend all of the sessions as outlined here, please see our resource collection on the SABES website at: https://sabes.org/pd-center-resources/34
