Jess Fraga

Bio

Jessica Fraga currently splits her time between The Literacy Project in Ware, MA as an Education and Career Advisor, teaching career and life skills and ELA;  and Goodwin University in East Hartford, CT, where she teaches business and communication as an adjunct professor. She uses progressive and innovative thinking and technology to inspire change in her community, her classroom, and in her role as an advocate and ally.

Jessica currently serves on the board of directors for Quaboag Hills Community Coalition and Way Finders, where she previously held the position of Vice-Chair. She holds an MBA from Bay Path University and recently earned her Teaching Fellowship in Universal Design from Goodwin University.

Silja Kallenbach

Bio

As vice president of World Education, Silja Kallenbach oversees the organization’s U.S.-based projects and centers of expertise, including the EdTech Center, National College Transition Network, New England Literacy Resource Center, and SABES Program Support Center. Silja has 40 years of experience in adult education as a teacher, professional development provider, administrator, fundraiser, and researcher.  From 1994 to 2012, Silja led the New England Literacy Resource Center at World Education. From 2013 to 2016, she directed Networks for Integrating New Americans, a federal collective impact demonstration project. Silja has an MA in bilingual studies and English instruction from the University of Massachusetts.
