Judith Lilienfeld is the career advisor at Asian American Civic Association (AACA), ESOL program. Judith leads introduction to job search and job training program workshops for all the levels and guides students through training program application and job search process. Judith also teaches math to upper level ESOL students.
Jane Co is the intake coordinator and college advisor at Asian American Civic Association ESOL programs. She leads college workshops throughout the levels and guides students to navigate the college application process. She also helps the program graduates transition to college and stays in touch until they complete their college studies.
This brief, published May 2020, explores the benefits of Success Coaching as reported in focus groups by over 50 students across ten North Carolina community colleges. Students who were assigned Success Coaches shared their candid feedback regarding their experiences and perceptions with respect to the benefits of having a Success Coach.
