Jannette Marte is an Education and Career Advisor at the Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences (SCALE). She is a Massachusetts licensed social worker with a Master's degree in Mental Health with a focus on trauma and drug abuse. Jannette has years of experience working in adult education as an advisor for students pursuing their High School Equivalency Diploma. Jannette has extensive experience working with young adults and their families in different settings, such as residential, DYS, foster, and kinship homes. She worked as an in-home family therapist with the non-profit agency Youth Village, supporting intact families; as a social worker and investigator for the Department of Children and Families (DCF), helping families struggling in different areas; as a clinician for the Key Program, focusing on youth struggling at home, school, and community; and at the Adult Learning Center in Lawrence as the Social Emotional and Career Advisor for the High School Equivalency students.
