Welcome to SABES Program Support!

The SABES Program Support PD team offers professional development, technical assistance, and coaching across a wide range of topics that support program-wide collaboration, innovation, and planning. In each of our six priority areas (see below), we work with individual practitioners and program teams to strengthen practice, foster community, leverage data and resources, and plan for continuous improvement so that programs can better help learners identify and achieve their goals and all students have what they need to learn, grow, and thrive in adult education.

PD Opportunities

PDPs

We are pleased to be authorized to issue Professional Development Points (PDPs) for completion of certain PD offerings. Instructors with a state license must complete PDPs each year.

Please contact alexandra_papagno@worlded.org to request PDPs for eligible offerings or for more information. 

Sharing Groups

In addition to facilitator-led PD, PSPDC offers role- and topic-specific communities of practice for practitioners to network and learn from each other. All are welcome to attend. Please bring your questions, challenges, promising practices, and resources!

Program-Based PD & Coaching

Did you know that SABES offers program-based PD and program-based coaching? Program-based PD allows you to work with a SABES subject matter expert to tailor an existing PD offering to your program's goals and context, or to create something new if nothing quite fits. To learn more about program-based PD, please reach out to Alexandra at alexandra_papagno@worlded.org.

Program-based coaching is an opportunity to work with a SABES coach to strengthen a specific area of policy or practice in your program. Program-based coaching is available for all of our priority areas. For 2024-2025, we are also offering cohort-based coaching in the following areas: 

• ADA Coordination and Disability Inclusion
• Continuous Improvement for MassSTEP Programs
• Continuous Improvement for Workplace Education Programs
• Modeling Digital Resilience (building staff's digital skills and resilience)

Role-based coaching is also available to support program leaders, advisors, digital literacy specialists, and other staff members in identifying professional learning goals and creating a learning plan. Role-based coaching for instructors is availble through the Curriculum & Instruction Centers.
